Zac Nelson

FOUNDER

Born in Bowling Green, Ohio, Zac initially became involved in service mission trips thanks to his church youth group.  While attending the University of Cincinnati, he became involved with Serve Beyond Cincinnati and continued to travel internationally for service projects.

"I've become enamored with serving... Knowing what God has blessed me with is a constant driving force to do what I can, whatever small part that may be.  Some of the most amazing people I have ever had the joy of meeting, so alive, so spiritually and joyously fulfilled, are some of the same people who have the least."

Zac is a Senior Industrial Designer living in West Chester, Ohio with his wife, their lovely dog, and a cranky old bearded dragon.

Cyrinus Sengka

Co-FOUNDER

Born as the 2nd child of six into a Christian family in a small village in Cameroon called Mbiame, his parents were poor peasant farmers who worked to send Cyrinus and his siblings to school.

"On school days I will get up as early as 5am and walk for 2 to 3 miles to fetch water and back home before making another 2 miles to school. After school, I will sometimes go to the farm and also fetch firewood to bring home for cooking," he recalls. "On Saturdays we would take the laundry to the stream for washing and go to church on Sunday with the whole family."

Now an American citizen, Cyrinus lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and two children. He is currently an aid worker for the mentally and physically impaired. "l feel very happy when l help others but my means are very limited. Knowing how generous Americans are, we can work together and help improve the lives of those in need in Africa - especially the children, of which too many pass away."
